Mirai (2025) is a Telugu fantasy action-adventure film that weaves mythology with modern storytelling. The movie begins with the legend of Emperor Ashoka, who, after his transformation following the Kalinga war, divides his immense spiritual power into nine sacred scriptures known as the Navagrandhas. These grandhas possess divine energy capable of turning an ordinary human into a god. Centuries later, an evil organization called the Black Sword, led by Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj), seeks to collect all nine grandhas to unleash chaos and darkness upon the world.
Amid this conflict, Vedha (Teja Sajja), a street-smart orphan and small-time thief, discovers that he is the chosen protector of the ninth and most powerful grandha, the Amaragrandha. Unaware of his destiny at first, Vedha is drawn into a battle between good and evil as he learns about his divine heritage and purpose. Guided by destiny and inner courage, he must embrace his role as the protector and wield the mythical weapon Mirai, said to be the bow of Lord Rama.
The story follows Vedha’s transformation from a carefree young man into a divine warrior who stands against Mahabir Lama’s dark forces. Blending elements of spirituality, action, and mythology, Mirai explores timeless themes of righteousness (Dharma), sacrifice, and destiny. It’s a visual spectacle that celebrates Indian mythic heritage while delivering an emotionally charged superhero-style adventure.
